Goodstein describes the establishment and growth of the Caltech Archives, the origins of the rare book collection, and the oral history project.  She also talks candidly about her dealings with the Caltech administration and her dashed hopes for a faculty position at the school.  Charged with bringing in collections, Goodstein recounts how she acquired the Max Delbruck and Richard P Feynman papers and her friendship with Feynman.
